The Map of Hell
The HellGame's map shows Hell and vicinity. The play-area consists of Hell Proper as well as the shapeless wastelands surrounding it known as the Antehell.

Hell itself is divided in nine concentric Circles, the ninth and innermost one being surrounded by the eighth, the eighth by the seventh and so on, all the way out to the first Circle that is in turn surrounded by the Antehell. Each Circle is named after the predominant kind of sinners it cares for and each Circle is then in turn divided into five Sectio, each named after what special kind of sinners the Sectio contains. As control of these in turn leads to control of Hell's Circles, they are the battleground over which the struggle for control of Hell is waged. Hell is also divided into five Quarters, each one containing one Sectio from each Circle. The points of Pentagram, the five-pointed star in the centre of Hell, each point towards one of these Quarters. The Pentagram is the site of the Infernal Court and may not be entered.
